Glu Hospitality debuts its first-ever breakfast and lunch concept Bagels and Co (1001 N 2nd St) with a grand opening celebration between Friday, June 4 and Sunday, June 13, 2021. Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu, the dynamic duo behind Germantown Garden Grill, Vesper Dayclub, Leda and the Swan, Germantown Garden Grill, Hunnies Crispy Chicken, The Igloos at Germantown Garden and Vesper Center City, are proud to debut a 1,100 square foot breakfast, lunch, coffee and bagel cafe and shop that is modern, clean, simple and stylish, complete with an opening menu filled with over a dozen varieties of Brooklyn-style Bagels, over two dozen inventive, creative and signature cream cheeses and spreads, along with fresh made-to-order sandwiches, salads, baked goods and other goodies. On the coffee side, Bagels and Co. is ready to give the neighborhood a jolt with fresh-brewed coffee in partnership with D’Amico Coffee Roasters.

Trunc In Northern Liberties Reopens And Hosts Fundraiser For The Colored Girls Museum

Trunc, located at 929 N. 2nd Street, is back open for business and hosting a special fundraiser for The Colored Girls Museum. Philadelphia's only black-owned, veteran owned and female-owned maker spaces and retail shops is now reopened for business in the heart of one of the city's hottest neighborhoods, Northern Liberties. The store opened in 2018 and after a full year of sales in 2019, was set to have a record year in 2020 when the global pandemic shut down all retail shops in March. After months of being closed, retail shops like Trunc are back open and opening again in Northern Liberties Business Improvement District. Trunc is open to start with in-person hours Fridays to Sundays, from Noon to 5:00pm, with a ten person shopping limit, masks required, ample hand sanitizer on hand and other precautions.
