"We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of Stove and Tap Malvern - our second Stove and Tap location and our first new restaurant since we founded the Stove and Co. Restaurant Group," said Weathers. "Chef and his culinary team will bring our signature and beloved American classic favorites to a new area of the Main Line, while we fire up new dishes from our  in-house smoker, wood fired grill and wood fired oven. We have been working on Stove and Tap Malvern since 2018 and faced some big set-backs, including a truck driving through our wall as we prepared to open earlier in 2019. Now we are ready to rock and we can't wait to serve our new community and offer a great destination for food, drink and quality service."

CONCEPT AND VISION

The Stove and Tap brand focuses on fresh, local and delicious ingredients that delivers a product tailored for the community it serves. Scratch made American classics and chef driven dishes drive a seasonal menu, craft cocktails, great American wines, and a beer list that highlights local and nationally celebrated brews.

Weathers said, "At Stove & Tap, we pride ourselves on being more than just a great restaurant. Our food menu is ever-changing using the freshest, local ingredients prepared to perfection. Our mission is simple... to provide our guests with a dynamic dining experience in an exciting environment filled with big flavor and big personality."

Moving forward, with this second Stove and Tap, Weathers explained that each location will have a slightly different menu based on the building, equipment and community needs. Some main staples and Stove & Tap signature dishes will cross-over. Also, the level of community involvement will differ and be unique to the community that the restaurant is located in.

FOOD

Executive Chef Joseph Monnich, who formerly helmed the kitchens at Parc and The Dandelion, and who is known for Al Pastor, The Bercy and the original Stove and Tap, will oversee the culinary team.

Stove and Tap Malvern will feature an all scratch kitchen that uses seasonal ingredients to highlight American classics. Menu will include gluten free and vegan options. Special kitchen equipment will include: Southern Pride smoker, a wood fired grill and a wood fired oven. All three elements are new to the Stove and Tap brand - meaning there will be signature dishes only available at this location. Existing brand signature dishes that are well-loved from Lansdale will include: Brisket, burgers, cedar planked salmon, fried chicken, and the pot pie. New dishes include: flatbreads, deviled crab dip, smoked beer can chicken, and blackened redfish. The menu for lunch and dinner is broken down by soups, salads, sharable, large plates, handhelds, veggies and flatbreads.  For dessert, look for ice cream, shakes, boozy milkshakes, and The Brookie, with a half brownie, half chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream.

DESIGN AND LAYOUT

Stove and Tap Malvern was created with help from Architect Joe Lombardi and Interior Designer Boulange Designs (known for their work with The Bercy). The decor and vibe features rustic americana interior with rustic American pieces, taxidermy, wood and metal.  Classic American rock and blues will keep the heads rocking while guests enjoy an always thoughtful presentation of food and fun service. Look for reclaimed wood and reclaimed aluminim ceilings, vintage wall paper and reclaimed newly installed wooden floors.

Weathers added, "Yes, there will of course be the large taxidermy bear like the famous bear at Landsdale. It wouldn't be Stove and Tap without him."

Inside the 7,500 square foot space look for a main dining room, bar and lounge, and expansive outdoor patio. Seat counts are as follows:

* 116 seats in the main dining area* 20 seats at tables in the bar area* 10 seats at the bar* 12 seats at the outside bar* 52 seats at tables outside

Stove and Tap Malvern will feature four large format banquets for large party dining. The layout will also feature five potential areas for semi-private party dining, special events and corporate parties.

The outside patio will feature two fire pits and a u-shaped outdoor 25 foot long bar. By spring, look for an upscale and well-done beer garden vibe that will bring the look and feel of gardens from Center City to the Suburbs.

EXTENT OF RENOVATION

Work began on Stove and Tap Malvern in 2018. The entire inside of the property was being re-done from top to bottom to bring patrons a top quality experience.

The building also afforded the opportunity for a grand outdoor patio with bar and fire pits, which will be even larger than the signature outdoor space at the Lansdale location." COMING SOON Stove and Tap will launch brunch service in the new year, and Stove and Co. Restaurant Group will announce its fifth restaurant to open in 2020 early in the new year.

STOVE AND CO. RESTAURANT GROUP Stove and Co. Restaurant Group was formed earlier in 2019, and houses Stove and Tap, Al Pastor and The Bercy - including four restaurants to date and a fifth on the way. Weathers said, "We started a group as we want to be the cornerstone restaurant of the communities that we move in to.  It is so important for us to provide a place for memories to be made while enjoying soulful food and great drinks. We formalized the group earlier in the year as we start to expand, but also as we want to make sure our values and style are consistent over whatever we create."
