Comedians Tracy Morgan and Carlos Mencia to Perform at Valley Forge Music Fair
/Valley Forge Casino Resort (1160 First Avenue) kicks off their fall line-up with two of the biggest names in comedy, Tracy Morgan and Carlos Mencia. Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock alumn Morgan will bring his Picking Up the Pieces Tour to VF’s Event Center on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 9:00pm. Comedy Central’s ‘Mind of Mencia’ creator Mencia brings his C 4 Urself Tour on Friday, November 18, 2016, to VF’s Venue on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 8:00pm. Both comedians will perform as part of the revival of the 40+ year tradition of Valley Forge Music Fair, that brings top music, comedy and entertainment to the King of Prussia and Philadelphia region. First up, multi-talented comedian Tracy Morgan brings his latest major multi-city stand-up tour, Tracy Morgan: Picking Up The Pieces to VF’s The Event Center on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 9pm (doors open 8:00pm). After a triumphant return to the Hollywood stage at this year's Emmy Awards and his Saturday Night Live homecoming, audiences can look forward to the entertainer doing what he does best, making people laugh.
Tracy Morgan is one of the most respected comedians in his field and is currently headlining his 31 stop nationwide stand-up tour, Picking Up the Pieces. Starring for seven seasons on NBC’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning “30 Rock,” Morgan appeared opposite Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin as “Tracy Jordan,” the unpredictable star of Lemon’s (Fey) hit variety show, “TGS with Tracy Jordan.” Morgan recently wrapped production on “Fist Fight” which he stars in alongside Ice Cube and Charlie Day and will be out in 2017. He will also star in the Weinstein Co.’s Richard Pryor biopic “Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?” as Redd Foxx opposite Mike Epps. Additionally, Morgan has been selected to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the 2016 class.

Next up, award-winning comedian and actor Carlos Mencia brings his straightforward no nonsense brand of comedy to Valley Forge Music Fair on Friday, November 18, 2016. The Mind of Mencia creator is not afraid to speak his mind and audiences seem to love him for it. His current tour, called the “C 4 Urself Tour,” has been making stops all around the country, performing to eager audiences. His performance will take place in VF’s The Venue at 8:00pm (doors open 7:00pm).
Mencia began his career doing stand-up on amateur night at the world renowned comedy club, Laugh Factory. He later showcased at The Comedy Store and became a regular, performing nightly. After he found success on the L.A comedy circuit, Mencia was named "International Comedy Grand Champion" from Buscando Estrellas (the Latino version of Star Search). This led to appearances on “In Living Color,” “The Arsenio Hall Show,” “Moesha”, “An Evening at the Improv” and eventually to his own TV show. “Mind of Mencia” debuted on Comedy Central in early 2005. It became one of the strongest shows in the network’s history, averaging about 1.5 million total viewers. “Mind of Mencia” was executive produced by Carlos Mencia and Robert Morton (“Late Night with David Letterman”). Most recently, Mencia has gone back to his comedic roots, performing at a number of comedy venues – allowing him to share his newest material with a more intimate audience.
