Lokal Artisan Foods and Cloud Cups Debut French Toast Bites Gelato During National Ice Cream Month

Lokal Artisan Foods and owner Charisse McGill has teamed up with Cloud Cups and owner Galen Thomas on a smooth and creamy new summer treat debuting just in time for National Ice Cream Month. French Toast Bites Gelato makes its debut this weekend on July 1st at Spruce Street Harbor Park, Cherry Street Pier, Pizza Brain, Manayunk Pizza and Ashley's Deli - as well as at select local street fairs and festivals. The new collab brings together two of the region's celebrated award-winning Black-owned businesses for a new product collection that is a pivot for both businesses as both recover out of the pandemic. Cloud Cups is a local artisan gelato and sorbet company. The Today Show recently named Cloud Cups' gelato top 50 in America. For Lokal Artisan Foods, the new French Toast Bites Gelato, in two flavors to start, is the most recent product for a company that started with an investment from the owner's daughter's lemonade stand, that then created a nationally recognized brand and collection that now includes French Toast Bites shakes, spice, beer, coffee and now gelato.

Yards Brewing and Lokal Artisan Foods Make History With New French Toast Bites Ale

What started out as a freshly made street food treat in Philadelphia has now found its way onto the beer scene just in time for summer! Yards Brewing Company and Lokal Artisan Foods have joined forces to collaborate on the release of the new French Toast Bites Ale - a smooth and malty collab inspired by the famous French Toast Bites sold at Cherry Street Pier, Spruce Street Harbor Park, Made in America, St. Joe's University, Better Box, Philadelphia Night Market and Bronx Night Market. The new beer captures the delicious flavors of sugar and spice and everything nice - with comforting notes of maple syrup, rich brown sugar, spicy cinnamon and delicate vanilla. The beer will be available in 16 ounce cans (four-pack), plus in kegs and sixtels. Yards will produce the beer year-round out of its brewery at 500 Spring Garden Street. Look for it in grocery stores, bottle shops, bars and restaurants throughout Philadelphia, Eastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and Delaware.

Christmas Village in Philadelphia's last call at Love Park for the 2020 season is on Christmas Eve at 5:00pm. However, the authentic open-air German-style Christmas market has one final gift to give Philadelphia before closing up shop for the holidays. For the beer lover, the last minute shopper, or those wanting to soak up those famous vibes after tomorrow, Christmas Village debuts a brand-new exclusive Christmas Village Kölsch, brewed and canned by local independent brewery Bar Hygge/ Brewery Techne. The new beer is available in cans to go with a specially created label that incorporates the iconic scenery of Christmas Village at Love Park including The Alm and the Grill Hut. The cans are sold in four packs of one pint cans for $18.00. This is the first-ever Christmas Village inspired beer, and the only exclusive can available since Christmas Village and Bar Hygge/ Brewery Techne starting partnering together back in 2018.

Northern Liberties Business Improvement District kicks off the holiday season with the debut of Northern Liberties Holiday Pop-up, starting on Black Friday for two weekends, November 27th-29th and December 3rd-6th, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. This brand-new socially-distanced holiday shopping event will feature 15+ small local businesses and makers from around the Philadelphia region popping up with gifts, decor, fashions, treats and more in eight retail locations along N. 2nd Street. French Toast Bites by Lokal Artisan Foods announces the debut of the first-ever French Toast Bites Ale in partnership with Doylestown Brewing Company. The anytime ale is is 5.5% ABV and is a sweet, smooth and toasted dessert brew that pairs great with breakfast, brunch, dinner or dessert. It will be available in 16 ounce cans in four-packs, as well as in a limited run of kegs and sixtelles through distributor Muller, Inc. For McGill, the debut of the new beer makes her the first black female in the state of Pennsylvania with her own signature beer. The debut of the new beer is also part of the expansive pivot story for the black-owned, female-owned small and local business operating out of the Philadelphia market.

French Toast Bites by Lokal Artisan Foods will bring the sugar and spice and everything nice to Spruce Street Harbor Park by Univest for the summer of 2020. Chef, entrepreneur and owner Charisse McGill will become the first-ever Black female operator to be at Spruce Street Harbor when she opens this coming weekend. On the menu, look for her signature French Toast Bites with unlimited toppings, vegan French Toast Bites, new French Toast Milkshakes, bacon on a stick and other summer-time treats. French Toast Bites will occupy the former pod of HipCityVeg across from the floating Barge in the heart of the boardwalk.
