Brauhaus Schmitz Transfroms 23rd Street Armory into Philadelphia's Largest Oktoberfest for Columbus Day Weekend

Brauhaus Schmitz saved their best Oktoberfest for last! Following their largest South Street Oktoberfest in ten years, Doug Hager and the Brauhaus team are back again for the 3rd Annual 23rd Street Armory Oktoberfest, on Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6, 2018. Staged in the sprawling 23rd Street Armory, the Armory Oktoberfest includes three sessions, each able to accommodate 1,500 revelers, for one of the biggest beer-drinking events to hit Philadelphia and one of the most authentic Oktoberfest parties in the United States. Inis Nua Theatre Company Presents The Monster in the Hall By David Greig October 3 to 21, 2018

Inis Nua Theatre Company will open its 15th anniversary season with the Philadelphia premiere of The Monster in the Hall, written by Scottish playwright David Greig. This funny musical play about family, love and really big motorcycles is the second production Inis Nua will stage by Greig, following the company’s 2014 breakout hit Midsummer [a play with songs]. Midsummer went on to earn four Barrymore Award nominations. Monster will be directed by Claire Moyer and stars Claris Park, Doug Durlacher, Eleni Delopoulos and Jamison Foreman. Previews run October 3 and 4, with Opening Night set for October 5, 2018. The show runs until October 21 for a total of 15 performances. All performances will take place at the Louis Bluver Theatre at the Drake, 302 S Hicks Street in Philadelphia. Philadelphia Theatre Company Announces New Season with Sweat, Bridges of Madison County and How to Catch Creation

Philadelphia Theatre Company is ready to take off into the future. The company announced its first produced season under its new leadership team, Producing Artistic Director Paige Price and Managing Director Emily Zeck, to an audience in the theatre’s space in the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad St. PTC announced that this inaugural season under new leadership includes a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Lynn Nottage that takes place in Pennsylvania, a World Premiere from the 2017 Kilroys List, and a TONY-winning Jason Robert Brown musical set in the Midwest during the 60s based on a popular bestselling novel. Philadelphia Artists' Collective Partner with Woodland's Cemetery for Haunting Play Among the Graves with Mary Rose

The Philadelphia Artists' Collective returns to the Philadelphia FringeArts Festival with a hauntingly beautiful site-specific work by the famous author of Peter Pan. Mary Rose, by J.M. Berrie, will be presented both inside the historic and ornate mansion - and outside under the stars in the cemetery itself. The show runs for a total of 12 performances through September 22, 2018.

Stats on 17th Brings Ultimate Sports Bar and Nightclub to Rittenhouse Square

Philadelphia's new ultimate sports bar and nightclub Stats on 17th announces its grand opening in Rittenhouse this weekend in time for Eagles season. Doors will officially open to the public on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 4:00pm. Grand opening festivities all weekend will include a viewing party for the Eagles home opener against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night, with kick-off at 8:20pm. Friday and Saturday night will feature the areas top DJs and entertainment at 10:00pm. Philadelphia's only permanent outdoor flying trapeze school will offer two-hour outdoor flying trapeze lessons at Circus Campus, 6452 Greene Street in West Mt. Airy - conveniently directly next to the Upsal SEPTA Station. The first lessons take flight this weekend as a preview, with the official grand opening set for Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:30am.

East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) is revving up for the 13th Annual Car Show and Street Festival presented by Jefferson Health Methodist Hospital on Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 11:00am to 4:00pm, on EPA between Broad and Dickinson streets. Look for nearly 175+ muscle, classic, antique, custom and show cars, trucks and motorcycles will line the Avenue, with street vendors, circus performances, rack sales, kids’ activities, live music and the Bang! Boom! CRAFT! Show in between. Wine and dine among the cars as award-winning restaurants and food trucks serve specially priced street food and summertime drinks. Admission is FREE for attendees and $20 for cars. Check-in for cars is moved up this year to 8:00am to 11:00 am. The event's rain date is Sunday, August 5, 2018.
