Fashion District Philadelphia Partners with the School District of Philadelphia Ring the Bell with Back-2-School Bus Tour and School Supply Giveaway
/Fashion District Philadelphia is teaming up with The School District of Philadelphia to help Philadelphia families head back to school this fall. Celebrate back-to-school season as the School District's Back-2-School Bus Tour will make a special stop at The District on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at The Cube (901 Market Street entrance). The two organizations will prepare Philly youth for a great school year with complimentary backpacks and school supplies (while supplies last), back-to-school information, no charge immunizations and physicals, education activities for kids, school registration, Parent Portal help, and of course fun games, treats and other surprises. The festivities will include a parade with the 76ers Drumline, The Sixers Stixers, music from @DJb_all, and a Fashion Show presented by Philly Fashion Week including a full contest for the kids to win great prizes. Businesses in The District will also offer specials, promotions and events during the event. Individuals and corporations looking to help set-up local families for success are encouraged to donate new backpacks and school supplies by dropping them off at Levi's (Level 2R). The District is located at 901 Market Street, in Center City Philadelphia. Philadelphia schools will ring the bell this year starting in late August! Fashion District Philadelphia and The School District of Philadelphia will bring the Ring the Bell Back-2-School Bus Tour for a very special stop at Fashion District Philadelphia’s The Cube at 901 N. Market Street entrance, from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Friday, August 9th. Doors to The District will open as early as 9:00am for any families that want to line-up for the event. The event will feature:
* Complimentary new backpacks and school supplies for all age groups - first come, first serve - while supplies last
* The School District and partners will offer back-to-school tips and information
* No charge immunizations, school physicals and more information
* Complimentary snacks and frozen treats while supplies last
* Education and fun activities to get children excited about ringing the bell this year
* Registration on site for families new to the school district
* Sign-ups for parent portal access
* Fun, games, surprises and much more!
The schedule of special events for this day will include:
* Doors open for lines to form starting at 9:00am
* Giveaways start at 10:00am and run while supplies last
* Festivities run through 2:00pm
* Check presentation to The School District of Philadelphia 10:30am
* @DJb_all playing the hits from 10:00am to 2:00pm
* Parade with The Sixers Stixers at Noon (12:00pm)
* Philly Fashion Week fashion show and youth runway contest (1:00pm)

For donations, The School District of Philadelphia can use community support to help ring the bell. Donations are now being accepted for new bookbags and school supplies. Donations can be brought to Levi's on Level 2 of The District through August 16th - and any after the August 9th event will be given to The School District for direct distribution.
