The Story Brings Stunning New Coffee Shop and Bookstore to Downtown Ardmore

Continuing the explosion of new businesses opening in Ardmore, downtown now welcomes The Story – a coffee shop and bookstore located at 45 E. Lancaster Avenue. Most recently, the building was the 843 VFW outpost, where it served veterans in the Ardmore area for over 30 years. Owners have taken the former outpost and renovated it with thrifted, repurposed and donated decor that all hold hundreds of years of history - including the 1893 Schomacker & Co. piano, the circa 1923 bar chairs, the custom lion-head bar from a local mansion, the book wall with chapters unfolding above the plush vintage lounger - and the feature wall designed and hand-papered by Carissa Robinson from Creator Studio in Philly.

Up to Eleven Debuts New Coffee Shop and E-Bike Store Hybrid in Ardmore

Laura Fay, co-founder of Separatist Beer Project, announces the grand opening of a brand-new all-in-one coffee shop and e-bike store coming to the Main Line starting this weekend. Up to Eleven is a unique all-in-one hybrid that brings together the best of both worlds for coffee and cycling lovers. The new concept will showcase three big partners, including bagels from Kismet Bagels, coffee from Reanimator Coffee, and e-bikes by Specialized. Doors will open this Saturday, August 21st, from 7:00am to 3:00pm, at 65 Cricket Flats.

Pivot Coffee And Soupery Grand Opens In South Philly Next to Hawthornes

Restaurateurs Chris Fetfatzes and Heather Annechiarico announce the grand opening of Pivot Coffee and Soupery at 738 S. 11th Street, this Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 7:00am sharp. The husband-wife duo behind popular concepts Hawthornes, Wine Dive, Tio Flores, Quick Sip, The Cambridge and soon-to-open Grace and Proper, present their first-ever full service coffee and espresso shop, soupery, bake shop and wine shop - all rolled into one. With indoor dining closed at the moment, and it being months before Hawthornes would see indoor dining back to full 100% capacity, the couple looked ahead and wanted to Pivot with their new coffee shop - which comes complete with a new pastry chef, an expanded streetery, Igloo bubble outdoor dining, and a full special menu for Christmas and the holidays.
