Christmas Village in Philadelphia Announces Return to Love Park, City Hall Courtyard and North Apron

Returning for its 14th season, Christmas Village in Philadelphia will once again transform LOVE Park and City Hall (Courtyard and North Apron) into a traditional, open-air German Christmas Market, open daily between Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 25th and Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24th, with a preview weekend planned for November 20 to 21, 2021. New and returning for this year, Christmas Village will present an extra magical surprise with a double-tier Christmas Village carousel in the City Hall Courtyard, along with a brand-new German food court in the Courtyard. After taking a break last year due to the pandemic, the grand Ferris Wheel and the Kid’s Train will be back, along with vendors on the City Hall North Apron. Stay tuned for details and other surprises in late October or early November when the full season guide and release is announced.

With its holiday sights and sounds featuring thousands of twinkling lights and festive Christmas decorations, one of America’s most famous Christmas markets will light up the area around City Hall once again. Visitors will find high-quality unique gifts, ornaments and decorations of over 110 small businesses and international vendors. Warm up with a glass of Glühwein (mulled wine) or enjoy a pint of local beer from Fairmount Ave based Brewery Techne while enjoying the great variety of European food and drinks. With live music at the main stage back this year, children’s activities and a variety of tasting-events, Christmas Village will have something for everyone and all ages this year.

The health and safety of visitors, shoppers, vendors and staff is a top priority for organizers. With the knowledge of running a Covid-19 edition of last year's Christmas Village, the event organizers are working closely with the City of Philadelphia to ensure that everybody involved can experience Christmas Village as safely as possible. Specific measurements will be announced within the event's official season guide, coming in late October or early November.
