Philadelphia Easter Promenade to Hop Down South Street on Easter Sunday

Hop on down to South Street Headhouse District for some free, egg-citing family fun during the 87th annual Easter Promenade on Sunday, April 1, 2018. Come dressed in Sunday Best and parade down South Street in this grand and popular tradition that is the region's largest event on Easter Sunday. Master of ceremonies Henri David returns to lead the parade from the corner of Passyunk Avenue/South Street down to Headhouse Square (2nd Street) at 12:30pm. Enjoy Easter treats, live music from the Philadelphia Freedom Band, the Bunny Hop, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cottontail and much more. Bring your camera and stick around to meet the Easter Bunny himself, and see who wins the best dressed contests! The parade itself kicks off at 12:30pm with judging until approximately 2:00pm.

Azuka Theatre Kicks off 2017-2018 Season with World Premiere of The Gap by Emma Goidel

Azuka Theatre kicks off their 18th season with the world premiere of The Gap by Emma Goidel. Rebecca Wright directs this dark comedy and mystery that centers around family secrets, performing, and sisterhood. Audiences will ask themselves, what's ultimately worse: forgetting or remembering? Presented in the Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake, The Gap previews begin Wednesday, November 1, opens on Saturday, November 4 and runs through November 19, 2017. All tickets for The Gap and other shows this season are Pay What You Decide, whereas audience members see a show first, and pay what they decide after the performance. Christmas Village in Philadelphia Announces New Location for 10th Anniversary

Christmas Village in Philadelphia announces its return to LOVE Park for its 10th anniversary. Philadelphia’s largest holiday attraction will be the first event to be held in newly renovated LOVE Park (1500 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102). From Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 23th, 2017) through Christmas Eve (Sunday, December 24th, 2017), Christmas Village will transform LOVE Park into an authentic open-air German Christmas market with holiday sights and sounds featuring thousands of twinkling lights, festive Christmas decorations, live music at the main stage, children’s activities and photos with Santa. Shoppers will find high-quality, international and local gifts along with decorations. Philadelphia Theatre Company Presents Bob Garfield’s Ruggedly Jewish September 15-16

Philadelphia Theatre Company kicks off its 2017-2018 festival-style theatre season with the world premiere of Ruggedly Jewish: An Evening With Bob Garfield. Garfield’s crazy-quilt, hilarious odyssey is a search for self: the American self, the suddenly-emerging threatened self, and his own baffled self – a secular Jew. The Lower Merion native, and the co-host of public radio’s On The Media, returns to his roots by launching his one-man show right here. The show is three performances only, on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 8:00pm, and Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 3:00pm and 8:00pm. All performances are held at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) is revving up for the 12th Annual Car Show and Street Festival on Sunday, July 30, 2017, from 11:00am to 4:00pm, on EPA between Broad and Dickinson streets. Over 140 muscle, classic, antique, custom and show cars, trucks and motorcycles will line the Avenue, with street vendors, rack sales, kids’ activities, live music and the Bang! Boom! CRAFT! Ardmore's Big Dig: A Free Construction-Themed Carnival For The Whole Family

The Ardmore Initiative along with several Cricket Avenue businesses will present the Big Dig on Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The family-oriented construction carnival will take place along Cricket Avenue and on the building site of One Ardmore Place, the 110-unit apartment being built by Dranoff Properties in Ardmore’s vibrant downtown. The Big Dig is the first in a series of community events being rolled out by the business community to spotlight Ardmore as a live, work and play destination.

The Piazza At Schmidt's To Host 2017 Official Draft Party Of The Philadelphia 76ers

The Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons in Northern Liberties will host the 2017 Official Draft Party of the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, June 22 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fans are invited to watch the 2017 NBA Draft broadcast live on the Piazza’s 400-square-foot HD LED screen. The Sixers hold the third overall pick in addition to four second-round selections. While they watch the draft on the big screen, guests will enjoy appearances by Sixers legends, mascot Franklin, Sixers Dancers and more. The party will also feature a live DJ, trivia contests, vendors, silent auction, and food and drink specials from restaurants within the Piazza.
