Morgan's Pier Announces 11th Season on the Philadelphia Waterfront

FCM Hospitality and owner Avram Hornik announce that Morgan's Pier (221 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd) will start its 2022 season on Thursday, April 21st at 4:00pm. Philadelphia's largest outdoor restaurant returns for its 11th season with relaxed bites, local brews, breathtaking views, live entertainment and energetic late nights. From the kitchen, look for a new menu with tasty options like Oysters on the Halfshell, Seafood Cocktail, Tuna Tartare, Crab Cakes, Grilled Octopus, Pier Fries, Crispy Chicken Wings, Confit Pork Flatbread, Crispy Shrimp Roll, Prime Rib Sandwich, Porky Belly BLT, Ratatouille Grinder, Purple Sweet Potato Black Bean Burger and much more. The menu includes vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. From the bar, look for thirst-quencing summer sips that include favorites from over the last decade plus new offerings. Highlights include the signature Watermelon Rickey, Summer Sangria, Aperol Paloma, Crushin' It, Twisted Tea Bomb and Blueberry Lemonade. Live music and DJs are back for a full summer of programming, with DJ Ricky Lee, DJ Menace Cartel, DJ Xtina, DJ Beatstreet, DJ Meat Mill, DJ Pfef, and Dan Fisher kicking things off on opening weekend. Also look for Siempre Salsa Philly on select Wednesday evenings. Yappy Hour is back once a month to support the PSPCA.

Starting hours for the season are Mondays to Thursdays, 4:00pm to 2:00am, and Fridays to Sundays, Noon - 2 am. Guests can make reservations for dine-in service Mondays to Thursdays, 4:00pm - 9:45pm, Fridays to Saturdays, Noon - 8:45pm, and Sundays, Noon - 9:30pm. This landmark dining destination’s culinary offerings will be a merger of several Pier staples with new tasty treats for the 2022 season. Guests can expect waterfront classics with elevated pub fare, all sprinkled with Pier personality. Items like the gluten-free grilled octopus with salsa Verde, pickled kumquat, and fennel or the confit pork flatbread with broccoli rabe pesto, sharp provolone, Calabrian chili and shaved parmesan will showcase how Morgan’s Pier has continuously thrived in their 11 years. The soon-to-be crowd favorite, the Epic Burger, will consist of a double patty, iceberg, tomato, caramelized onion, truffle mornay, honey pepper back bacon all stacked high in a big Marty’s seeded roll.

Morgan’s Pier 2022 beverage offerings will be perfect to help you wash down those detectable dishes or cool off from the Summer sun. As always, Morgan’s Pier prides itself on its locally-driven offerings. For all you beer lovers, this can be seen in their thirst-quenching beer selections, which include Poplar Pils, Bowline, and Pier Beer, an American IPA made exclusively for Morgan's Pier compliments of Mainstay Independent (901 N. Delaware Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19123). Last year’s breakout drink of the season, Sea Isle Iced Teas, will be on deck, along with a list of amazing cocktails. Signature cocktails making a return to this year’s menu include Blueberry Lemonade and Watermelon Ricky. The Aperol Paloma makes its debut this season, offering the perfect blend of two warm weather classics the Aperol Spritz and Paloma. The blend of Patron, Aperol, fresh lime juice, grapefruit, and club soda will have you feeling summertime fine in just a few sips.

Entertainment:

The lively entertainment schedule at Morgan’s Pier is always one to admire, with this year being no exception. Get spicy this summer with the return of Latin nights by putting on your Cha-Cha heels to enjoy the sounds of the islands with Siempre Salsa Philly on select Wednesday evenings. Sing along to your acoustic favorites every Thursday night, with a stacked lineup of local talent scheduled, including New Pony, The Business, Jamison, and Cherry Crush. The weekend late-night party will be in full swing for the 2022 season, with DJ entertainment scheduled every Friday and Saturday. Guests can expect an $8 cover charge on Wednesday nights after 8 PM, Thursdays starting at 9:00 pm, Fridays and Saturdays starting at 10:00 pm.

If there is one thing Morgan’s Pier knows how to do, it is hosting some amazing charitable events. Yappy Hour with the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA) and Tito’s Handmade Vodka turns 4:00pm to 8:00pm one Monday a month. Yappy Hour is a perfect opportunity to bring your four-legged furry family member to enjoy the sun. Proceeds from Yappy Hour will go towards the Pennsylvania SPCA along with other opportunities to donate.

Are you ready to guac and roll? Morgan’s Pier will proudly be the host of the return of an in-person GUAC OFF, hosted by MANNA, on May 26th, 2022. MANNA is a volunteer center based in Philadelphia, that provides counseling, preparing, and delivering medically tailored meals that are filled with nourishments to those with serious illnesses in the Greater Philadelphia Area and Southern New Jersey.
