Surprise Dining Pop-up Event Picnic in the Plaza Debuts in Downtown Ardmore

Ardmore Restaurant Week, the popular two-week celebration of Ardmore’s exciting and diverse dining scene returns May 6 through May 16, 2021 with a special outdoor dining event. Popping up on Saturday, May 8 and Saturday, May 15 - The Ardmore Initiative introduces Picnic in the Plaza! Grab takeout and a cocktail to- go from your favorite Ardmore Restaurant Week participant, enjoy live music, and sit under the stars with friends as you enjoy your meal! Just another way to support the Ardmore restaurants, hit especially hard during the pandemic. Ardmore Restaurant Week Dinner participants will offer a prix fixe, 3-course menu at either $20, $25 or $30.

This pop-up event will take place on Saturday, May 8th and Saturday, May 15th in Schauffele Plaza, (99 Cricket Terrace) from 5-8pm, with two reservation times, one at 5:00pm and one at 6:30pm. This event is weather dependent. COVID-19 precautions will be in place and social distancing will be enforced. Tickets are limited!

“Ardmore Restaurant Week is one of our most anticipated events of the year, and we are pleased to work with Lower Merion Township to make this pop-up picnic happen” said Nancy Scarlato, Executive Director of the Ardmore Initiative. “Ardmore restaurants have been hit particularly hard during the pandemic and giving patrons an additional place to enjoy a meal and a cocktail outside is just one way we can say thank you.”

Reservations are available for two 90 time slots on each date and are free, but required. No food and drink will be for sale at this event. Food and drink purchases must be arranged with an Ardmore Restaurant Week participant separately. For this year as a special way to support some restaurants during the pandemic and/or as they grand open right around the Restaurant Week dates, please see some restaurants offering out of the box specials instead, like DePaul's hosting the Ardmore Restaurant Week Happy Hour and Parlour offering something sweet and fun for families to get a taste of Restaurant Week this year. Some restaurants will additionally offer upgrades to their meals for those seeking a higher end experience.
