38 SPECIAL

On Friday, November 27, 2015, legendary Southern Rock group 38 Special takes the stage at VFCR Event Center at 8:00pm. With sales in excess of 20 million, the band is well-known for its arena-rock pop smashes, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more – timeless hits that remain a staple on the radio. Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand in testament to the endurance of this legendary group.

Guitarist/vocalist and founding member Don Barnes is joined onstage by guitarist/vocalist Danny Chauncey, bassist Barry Dunaway, drummer Gary Moffatt and keyboardist/vocalist Bobby Capps. Together they continue to bring 38 Special’s signature brand of “muscle and melody” to fans worldwide.

“The magic’s still there,” said Barnes. “It’s an emotional high for us to keep ‘bringing it’ after all these years. That’s what you hear on the new live stuff, that sense of urgency and power.”

“When the lights go down and we all walk up those steps to the stage and hear that crowd roar, it’s a real rush to the head. It feels like we’re getting ready to strap ourselves in and it just takes off from there.”

ARTIE LANGE

On Saturday, November 28, 2015 Howard Stern alum and comedian Artie Lange will perform at the VFCR Event Center at 8:00pm. In addition to the Howard Stern Show, Lange has appeared on MadTV and in feature films, co-hosts his own radio show, and even produced and starred in his own film.

“Valley Forge Casino Resort is thrilled to host another great night of laughs with Artie Lange,” said Valley Forge Casino Resort Chief Marketing Officer Jennifer Galle. “His performance brings yet another high-profile, nationally recognized act to our stage. Stay tuned... entertainment is just heating up at Valley Forge Music Fair!”

One of the most sought after live comedians in the business, Lange is currently the co-host of “The Artie Lange Show,” a Fox News Radio show he created. Launched this past fall, the show has already garnered rave reviews and a massive fan base. Lange was a beloved regular on “The Howard Stern Show” for five years and during that time his first memoir, Too Fat To Fish became a New York Times bestseller, paving the way for his second book Crash and Burn, published in 2013. Artie’s first TV stand-up hour special, The Stench of Failure, premiered on Comedy Central in October 2014.

Artie Lange began his career in the comedy clubs of New York City, where he helped to create the popular sketch comedy group Live on Tape. Lange’s breakout work with Live On Tape landed him his debut television role as one of the original series regulars on FOX’s Mad TV and from there he landed feature films like The Bachelor, Lost and Found with David Spade, and Old School, and Elf with Will Ferrell. He also co-wrote and produced the feature film Beer League. Richard Roeper gave it a “Thumbs Up,” and the readers of the New York Times rated it four out of five stars.

Lange is also a regular guest on The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Best Damn Sports Show, Period. He was a guest roaster on Comedy Central’s Roasts of Hugh Hefner and William Shatner. Another milestone for Lange was selling out his Carnegie Hall performance for the New York Comedy Festival in 3 hours. He continues to sell out venues across the United States.
