Philadelphia iconic cheesesteak brand Steve’s Prince of Steaks announces the grand opening of the company’s fifth location this Friday (October 19th) in Hamilton Court at 3836 Chestnut Street. The royal “Prince” Steve Iliescu and business partner Jason Magowan will give away free cheesesteaks, fries and sodas for lunch and dinner in University City, between 12:00pm and 2:00pm and 4:00pm and 6:00pm. Philadelphia Theatre Company Kicks Off 44th Season with Pennsylvania Premiere of Lynn Nottage's Sweat

Philadelphia Theatre Company kicks off the 2018-2019 season with the Pennsylvania premiere of Lynn Nottage’s Sweat. This Pulitzer Prize for Drama winner explores Reading, Pennsylvania’s shrinking industrial economy and shares the fear, tragedy and hopefulness of a community on the verge of inevitable change. The production will kick-off the first produced season under new Producing Artistic Director Paige Price. Justin Emeka makes his Philadelphia debut directing a cast filled with local stars and Barrymore Award winners who have extensive theatre, film and television credits. Sweat will run from October 12 to November 4, 2018 at Philadelphia Theatre Company’s stage at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad Street. ​Inis Nua Theatre Company Presents The Monster in the Hall By David Greig October 3 to 21, 2018​

Inis Nua Theatre Company will open its 15th anniversary season with the Philadelphia premiere of The Monster in the Hall, written by Scottish playwright David Greig. This funny musical play about family, love and really big motorcycles is the second production Inis Nua will stage by Greig, following the company’s 2014 breakout hit Midsummer [a play with songs]. Midsummer went on to earn four Barrymore Award nominations. Monster will be directed by Claire Moyer and stars Claris Park, Doug Durlacher, Eleni Delopoulos and Jamison Foreman. Previews run October 3 and 4, with Opening Night set for October 5, 2018. The show runs until October 21 for a total of 15 performances.
